On 26 July, Presidential Guards in Niger initiated a coup, detaining the president and his family and declaring "an end to the regime". In the following days, the country's airspace, airports and land borders were closed as diplomatic efforts to restore the president commenced amid threats of military action. Various NOTAMs have been issued as the situation and operating environment in and over Niger has evolved. Osprey Flight Solutions has been monitoring the coup and issued daily notifications, including a forecast and risk rating change notification, to support our clients' operations in the region.
